Be the Future of Climate Resilience

RainGrid partners are the levers of climate action: developers, property managers, architects, urban planners and engineers.

We deliver the tools they need to:

  • Meet sustainability standards
  • Monetize compliance through environmental credits

In turn, their private and municipal clients benefit by:

  • Reducing infrastructure capital and operating costs
  • Mitigating climate liability risk
  • Accessing real-time remote rainwater monitoring data
Award-winning tech

As a World Economic Forum (WEF) UpLink Aquapreneur, RainGrid is launching the Global Circular Rain Challenge. We are looking to partner to jointly pilot and implement RainGrid’s award-winning Intelligent Rain Retention & Reuse (IR3) system.

RainGrid’s IR3 is a closed-loop rainwater retention and reuse system. It is suitable for both greenfield and retrofit projects when implemented on a community or neighbourhood scale. Performance is monitored remotely in real time to meet environmental credit reporting data requirements, including stormwater retention credits, Scope 2 GHG credits and restoration credits.

RainGrid’s IR3 system augments the natural systems cities need to achieve flood and drought resilience. RainGrid combines weather prediction with Internet of Things (IoT). Autonomous sensors embedded in the cisterns and smart drainage measure rain stored and used to offset drinking water for irrigation and other non-potable needs, or recharged into aquifers.

The circular economy of rain begins by retaining the rain that falls on every rooftop. This reduces the costs associated with stormwater runoff i.e. damage to overland infrastructure, flood damage, energy-intensive water pumping and treatment facilities.

Capturing the full value of rain

Rain fuels life. The faster we transition away from runaway rain becoming polluted stormwater the more climate-resilient and adaptive our cities will become. By retaining and reusing rain on every property, RainGrid protects homes, schools, businesses and whole communities from the impacts and costs of climate change.

Investing in RainGrid’s property-based net-zero rooftop runoff digital networks adds up. Cities save on stormwater treatment costs while property managers can monetize the environmental outcomes with ecosystem credits.

Together we can build climate resiliency to mitigate the boom-and-bust cycle of droughts and floods while buffering climate outcomes – human, financial and environmental.

Eligible Communities

Greenfield developments or multi-year retrofits of neighbourhoods are eligible sites for demonstrating IR3.
